Name And Address Of Principal Employer

According to the Section 2(g), Chapter-1 of the Contract Labor (Regulation & Abolition) Act, 1970, the principal employer refers to the head of a Government office or department, the Factory Manager (owner/Occupier) of a factory registered under the Factories Act, 1948 (Act No. 63 of 1948).

The principal employer may also refer to an agent or owner of a mine as mentioned in clause (j), clause (l), and clause (c) of subsection (1) of section 2 of the Mines Act, 1952 (Act No. 35 of 1952).
